Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support.
| We offer a range of programs that nurture student wellbeing and empower young people to reach their potential. | |
| Headspace |
Every fortnight, our Headspace Enhanced Care Clinician visits the school to provide tailored support for students. The program focuses on four key areas:
|
| B Street Smart: Road safety for life | A road safety education initiative organised by Westmead Hospital’s Trauma Department; the program aims to reduce road crashes among young drivers by raising awareness of the real-life consequences of unsafe driving and empowering Year 10 students to make safer choices. |
| WELS (Wellbeing, Engagement, Leadership, Service) lessons |
One of the driving focuses at our school; students meet with their Year Adviser and Deputy each fortnight, exploring a range of topics, including:
|
| Breakfast Club | Our school hosts a Breakfast Club in the new café each Wednesday and Friday morning, giving students the opportunity to start their day with a healthy meal and a friendly chat. It’s a welcoming space where everyone can come together, enjoy nutritious food, and get ready for a positive day of learning. |

R U Ok? Day
|
Each year our school comes together to celebrate R U OK? Day, reminding our community of the importance of checking in on one another. Through activities, conversations and awareness-raising events, we encourage students and staff to build connections, show kindness, and support each other’s wellbeing. This day is a powerful reminder that a simple question can make a big difference. |
|
Wear it Purple
|
Our school proudly supports Wear It Purple Day each year, celebrating diversity and showing support for LGBTQIA+ young people. By wearing purple and taking part in activities, we stand together to promote respect, inclusion and a strong sense of belonging for everyone in our school community. |
|
