Year 9 PDHPE students develop a clear understanding of the meaning and importance of mental health to an individual's wellbeing.
They also explore the concept of sexual health and are equipped with skills and knowledge to safely and respectfully navigate their developing sexual identities. Students are challenged to become the best versions of themselves and are provided skills for life.
In practical lessons, students undertake physical activities which focus on the biomechanics of human movement across a range of sporting contexts, practise specific fundamental and complex movements concepts and use strategies to evaluate and refine their own and others movement performances.
